Cosmetic problems, not functional ones.

Virtually every patient in good oral health is a candidate. What veneers are not is a fix for a bad bite. Within the smile zone, they handle:

  • Chipped or cracked teeth
  • Gapped or crowded teeth
  • Crooked or malformed teeth
  • Discolored teeth that whitening will not shift
  • Worn-down teeth

If your bite is the real problem, you will be told so at the evaluation rather than sold veneers over the top of it.

Veneers, crowns or whitening?

Whitening is the place to start when the teeth are sound and only the color bothers you: about an hour in the office, with the shade chosen with you.

Porcelain veneers cover the front of the teeth that show, for chips, gaps, crowding and stains whitening will not shift. Less than a millimeter of enamel is removed, and the design is previewed first.

Crowns cover the whole tooth, for teeth too damaged for a veneer to sit on, and they are strong enough for back teeth.

Minimally invasive prep

Less than a millimeter of enamel comes off the front surface, so the veneer sits flush instead of bulking the tooth out. Enamel does not grow back.

Design & fabrication

Each veneer is hand-designed in the practice’s own lab, one in McLean and one in Alexandria, to the size, shape and color for your face.

Fit & bond

The fit is verified, then the veneers are bonded. No special maintenance afterwards: brush and floss as before.

The price turns on how many teeth are treated and the material, and it is set at the smile evaluation, together with a free Digital Smile Design of the result. Nothing is prepared until you have seen it.

Most PPO dental plans are accepted and claims are filed for you, and financing can spread the cost monthly.

Do veneers ruin your teeth?
Preparation removes less than a millimeter of enamel, enough for the veneer to sit flush. It is a permanent modification, which is exactly why the design is previewed and agreed before anything is prepared.
Will they stain?
Porcelain does not stain the way natural enamel does. Brush twice a day and floss once, as before.
Can veneers fix my bite?
No. A bad bite is a functional problem and needs a functional answer, which is often the reason a prosthodontist is the right person to assess it.
How long does it take?
As few as two once the design is settled: one to prepare and scan, one to verify fit and bond.
Are veneers made at the Tysons Corner office in McLean?
